Beat the Street Walking Routes

Whether you’re looking to explore new areas while playing Beat The Street, or you’re feeling competitive and you want to reach as many Beat Boxes as possible, you’ve come to the right place.

These walking routes from our Route Library show you nice places to walk in Stockton-on-Tees that happen to go past loads of Beat Boxes, so you can rack up the points!

Hardwick, Elm Tree, Newham Grange Park – 6 Beat Boxes

2.2 miles (3.7km)

45 minutes

Mostly flat and paved

A lovely walk that takes you in and around Newham Grange Park, Elm Tree Wood and Hardwick Dene. This is a perfect walk to get out, stretch those legs and take a look at what is around the local area.

Thornaby Woods and Myton Way Trail – 5 Beat Boxes

2.8 miles (4.5km)

1 hour

Uneven surfaces, muddy when wet

A beautiful woodland walk around Thornaby wood, which takes in the cycle and footpaths of Ingleby Barwick. The route takes you past a playing park for kids to join in, however it isn’t pushchair or wheelchair friendly as there are steps and gateways to pass through along the way. This walk is great for a little adventure and lots of nature spotting along the way.

Stockton East Circular

6.3 miles (10.1km)

2 hours 15 minutes

Mostly flat and paved

A flat route with a mixture of town & country. The route takes in the wonderful Tees Barrage and Portrack Marshes, and takes you along parts of the Teesdale way.
