Uneven surfaces
A beautiful nature walk situated behind St. John’s Church. The area has a large fishing pond and is popular with anglers. The route takes you round the nature reserve amongst the trees and around the streams and pond – it’s ideal for a walk with the dog or just to get some fresh air and stretch your legs. Lovely little route for families, as there are no roads to cross, however it isn’t suitable for pushchairs due to the terrain on the route. The park also has an orienteering route so would be a nice change for those who would like a bit of a challenge.

Further Information
There is a small bridge to cross with steps on both sides. There are a few inclines on the route and there is a mixture of surfaces including tarmac tracks and trail routes which can get very muddy in the winter months. There are plenty of opportunities to stop and catch your breath, with a number of benches that would suit anyone wanting to stop for a spot of lunch or a quick break.
There is a car park near the entrance of the park, but no access to toilets. There is public transport to the village but very limited in times and days, however the Tees Flex service is available to the village. There is a local village shop & Post office and a Fish & Chip shop plus a pizza take away that are all close to the walk.
