Road Cycling Guidance

Here at the Hub a lot of people tell us that they enjoy cycling, but they are put off by riding on roads. Stockton has a great network of off-road cycle paths, but they can’t get you everywhere.

Cycling alongside traffic can seem daunting at first, but with the right practice it’s a safe and healthy way to travel. That’s why we have expert cycling instructors that can help you build the skills and confidence you need to happily cycle on roads.

You might want to improve your understanding of roads in general, or have one route or tricky junction in mind.

Our instructors have years of experience teaching people of all ages and abilities to cycle safely on roads. They can deliver a relaxed and friendly session tailored to your own ability, covering paper-based theory and practical cycling guidance on quiet roads.

By learning in theory and in practice, you can leave with a better understanding of what to do in common road situations to keep yourself safe and happy.
