Further Information
Wynyard Woodland Park started life as a working railway carrying freight to the ports along the River Tees. The former station house now houses an excellent café, and nearby there’s a fantastic, adventure play area in a stunning woodland setting. The park is also home to a planetarium and observatory. Free car parking is available at the A689 (tilery) end or by the visitors centre near the village of Thorpe Thewles. However, there are no toilets or café available on this trail loop.
Suitable for walkers and runners. Good robust pushchairs or running buggies would be suitable. It is an uneven surface and quite rugged in places; undulating but nothing too steep. Can be muddy in sections in wet conditions.
