Uneven surfaces, muddy when wet

A beautiful riverside walk that takes you through the picturesque Thornaby Village and in to Bassleton Woods. You are able to watch the boats, rowers and spot wildlife along the river, and part of the route takes you past Bowesfield Nature Park. The walk has a mixture of terrain and is ideal for regular walkers. There are a number of bike barriers, stiles and gates that you need to cross through. The walk is mainly flat with the exception of a few inclines and steps. Perfect walk for those with dogs. There are no toilets or cafe facilities on the route however the walk is on a bus route and there is plenty of on street parking.
